Darren & Nicola win Christmas!
The Guineas brings Christmas joy to Studland family.
When staff from The Guineas Shopping Centre rang Nicola Goreham last Monday to tell her that her name had been drawn as the winner of the Centre's 'Win Christmas' competition, Darren said she was "shell-shocked" for a couple of hours!
As happens to so many of us, Nicola entered the competition "just to see what would happen" never imagining that she would get the phone call. But on Friday, she, her husband Darren and their oldest daughter Lydia joined Centre staff at lunchtime to receive their festive goodies which the stores had put together for them. The little ones, Lewis aged three and Eloise six months were warmly tucked up at home with Grandma!
While we can't go into too much detail in case it spoils the surprise, the Gorehams were delighted with the generosity of the shops including Jose Hair Design, Dorothy Perkins, JD Sports, Select, Claire's Accessories and Clarks all of which will ensure a stylish Christmas. Plus The Pantry and Marks & Spencer who will ensure a tasty Christmas! There were also goodies from Argos, 3Store and The Black Cat Gift Shop which will delight the entire family and may provide some surprises under the tree. Finally, the family will be able to take a much-needed holiday in August with Thomas Cook!
The Gorehams are particularly excited this year as they are expecting 10 family members for lunch as Nicola's parents and sister, whose husband is currently in the Army and will be away for Christmas, join them for a fantastic family day, their first together for nearly 4 years! So they were particularly delighted that they have yet more goodies to share with their nearest and dearest.
As he presented the gifts to Darren and Nicola, Centre Manager Ross McKittrick expressed the Centre's delight at being able to make on family's Christmas that little bit more special, "Christmas is always a great and busy time at the Centre, but we try to ensure that we always remember what it is all about, spending time and sharing joy with the family. We are delighted to be able to spread a little more joy with such a lovely family and we hope they all have a wonderful Christmas!"
